The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
You shall not fold your wings that you may pass through doors, nor bend your heads that they strike not against a ceiling, nor fear to breath lest walls should crack and fall down.
You shall not dwell in tombs made by the dead for the living, and forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and winds long to play with your hair.

From an old notebook I found in my closet:
..in which I committed, for the bazillionth time, to follow the Artist's Way... November 9, 1997.
Below I wrote these notes from Julia Cameron about walking daily:
Walk daily--20 minutes Walk for an hour once a week, in different terrain. Walk, once a week, prayerfully, in gratitude -- out loud.
For one month, use walking to improve plot of inner movie. Rewrite the soundtrack! Think of this before you go. Talking to God about changing your life. List 20 things you want to manifest ( a more spiritual outlook on life, a 'zine, a network, a guitar teacher, etc.) and read before walks. Walk the list daily, thinking of each item, and their overall place in the movie of your life.
